The good news is that moving has been deemed an essential service. S & G Moving has stayed open and has implemented strict sanitary and distancing measures to protect your family during your move.
These difficult times are unlike anything we have seen in our lifetime. Our way of life has been turned upside down and we are left with lack of direction on how to maintain a somewhat normal sense of life. Although we are under certain restrictions to limit contact and to lessen the spread of this virus, life must go on and plans for households and students to move at this time of the year are a must.
We at S & G Moving place your families health and safety at the highest priority. Here are some measures that we have taken to allow for a smooth and sanitary move:
VIRTUAL ESTIMATES. We have the ability to provide an estimate over the phone instead of an in-home visit. We can review your inventory over the phone or you can provide a written list and/or pictures via email and text. S & G has been in business for over 30 years and has provided thousands of estimates without an in-home visit.
SANITARY MEASURES. We have reviewed the practices of good hygiene like frequent hand washing, using hand sanitizer, and the use of gloves and other protective equipment with our moving crews. We are are frequently sanitizing high-touch surfaces in our trucks and are following CDC recommended protocols for social distancing.
CLEAN SURFACES. Use disinfectant and wipes to clean the surfaces of your furniture and items prior to being moved by our moving crew. We can assist in this process if requested.
CLEANBOXES. We use brand new boxes for every move job. We are avoiding using recycled boxes as the virus can live on surfaces like cardboard. You can also buy new boxes at home improvement and office supply store.
STORAGE CONTAINERS. We have 24′ and 48′ foot portable storage trailers that can be delivered and left at your home so that you can move your items on your own and at your own pace. This will allow you to avoid any contact with 3rd party movers.
